— ABOUT US

What is The Imagination Congregation?

Image description

01

The Imagination Congregation is built around creating community where more of the human experience is welcome. Through imagination, intuition, movement, music, ritual and shared experience, we explore the joys, sorrows, strangeness and magnificence of being human, creating spaces to connect more deeply with ourselves, one another and whatever each of us understands as the transcendent.

02

The work takes many forms, from Intuitive Circles and Dream Gatherings to embodiment movement workshops, immersive experiences, and Ceremony. Each is an invitation to participate, experiment, connect, and discover what becomes possible when we make a little more room for the unexpected - and for people to bring more of themselves into the world.

Intuitive Circle

Imagination, Story & Connection

Step into a strange and beautiful inner world through guided imagination, playful exploration, and meaningful connection. Together, we may wander through enchanted woodlands, oddity shops, mysterious rooms, or entirely new realms created in the moment. Along the way, you’ll encounter images, emotions, symbols, and parts of yourself that may be asking to be noticed, encouraged, or understood. Intuitive Circles are imaginative, surprising, deeply human gatherings that often leave people feeling more connected to themselves—and to one another. No two circles unfold in quite the same way, each one is shaped by the people in the room and what their own imaginations bring forward.

Dream Gathering

Dreams, Music & Witnessing

The Dream Gathering is a participatory experience centered on the hopes, dreams, and longings that matter most to us. In a small intimate group, each person is given space to be deeply seen, encouraged, and celebrated; in a larger gathering, those individual dreams become part of a shared experience of music, guided imagination, storytelling, candlelight, and community. Guests are invited to reconnect with what inspires them, imagine what might still be possible, and consider how their own gifts and dreams might ripple outward into the lives of others. At its heart, The Dream Gathering is about remembering that our dreams do not have to be carried alone.

The Movement and the Muse

Image description

Freedom, Motion & Mystery

The Movement and the Muse is an experimental workshop exploring the meeting place between music, imagination, emotion, and spontaneous movement. The work grew from my own unusual, embodied, trance-like, ecstatic response to music, which can include swaying, jolting, collapsing, and expansive movement, while remaining conscious and aware. Participants are invited to notice what happens when they turn toward a feeling, a sound, image, or piece of music, and allow the body to answer in its own way. Through guided exercises, we will experiment with anticipation, surrender, stillness, sensory play, and the different ways the body can be moved by what inspires it. The goal is to discover your own freedom, where thought loosens its grip, curiosity takes over, and movement becomes a conversation between you and your muse.

Ceremony

Image description

Joy, Sorrow & Glory

Ceremony is a large-scale participatory experience built around music, movement, imagination, storytelling, ritual, humor, stillness, and shared emotional experience. It leads people through joy, sorrow, wonder, longing, and collective celebration, blurring the line between audience and participant and asking what becomes possible when people are given permission to feel something together. At the center of Ceremony is my own ecstatic movement practice, which becomes part of the live experience and a doorway into the larger emotional journey. Designed to grow through collaboration, Ceremony can be shaped with venues, artists, musicians, universities, producers, and community partners. I am currently seeking its first presenting partners—people and places interested in helping host, develop, and bring the experience fully to life.

"We are the music makers,

and we are the dreamers of dreams"

-Arthur O'Shaughnessy, quoted by Willy Wonka

What if our beloved music, movies, pop-culture, myths, memories, and symbols that formed us could become material for reconnecting us to our own inner worlds, to one another, and to something just beyond ourselves?
